Fried Green Tomatoes
6 green tomatoes, sliced in 1/4 inch slices
Salt and pepper
1/4 c flour
2 eggs beaten
2 cups cornmeal
1 c vegetable oil, heated in iron skillet
-Season tomato slices with salt and pepper
-Dust with flour
-Dip in beaten eggs and coat with cornmeal
-Fry in hot oil until browned, about three minutes on each side.
-Can top with Crawfish Remoulade (See recipe!)
